Beasts Of No Nation� Sweeps 12 Awards At 2015 GMA

Multiple award winning movie ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ swept the most honours at the 2015 Ghana Movie Awards, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, on Wednesday December 30 2015.
The film which was shot entirely in Ghana and directed by Emmy award-winning film maker, Cary Joji Fukunaga won 12 awards on the night out of 15 nominations. The awards included
'Best picture',
Best Directing and Best Cinematography.
Hollywood actor Idris Elba who co-produced the movie won the award for Best Supporting Actor while the movie’s breakthrough child star, Abraham Attah picked up the awards for Best Actor in a leading Role and Discovery Of the Year.
Yvonne Nelson’s ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ was also a big winner, picking up Best Actress In A Leading Role for Yvonne Nelson and Best Actress in Supporting Role for Rebecca ‘Becca’ Acheampong.  ‘Freetown’ won Best Screenplay. Ghanaian international actress, Akosua Busia was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Below is the full list of winners
